June 6, 2013 at 6pm
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Gardiner Sanitary District, Douglas County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014, will be held at the Gardiner Fire Hall 208 Marsh Street, Gardiner, OR. The meeting will take place on June 6th, 2012 at 6:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to further discuss the budget message first presented at the initial budget committee meetings held April 18, and May 16, 2013.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
OF
GARDINER SANITARY DISTRICT
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors for the Gardiner Sanitary District
will hold a Special Meeting immediately after the Budget Committee Hearing
which is at 6:00pm at the District Office at the Gardiner Fire Hall in Gardiner
on May 24, 2012, with a possible executive session pursuant to ORS
192.660(1)(c).
The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss changes
in employment due to the unexpected departure of Mike Girard.

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Gardiner Sanitary District, Douglas County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, will be held at the Gardiner Fire Hall 208 Marsh Street, Gardiner, OR. A copy of the budget document may be inspected after 6:00 pm on May 24, 2012; or a copy may be inspected or obtained on or after May 25, 2012 at the Gardiner Sanitary District office in Gardiner, OR between the hours of 9:00am and 12:00pm.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

April Board Meeting Date Change
In order to keep the community of Gardiner aware of our Board Meetings, we'd like to take a moment to inform you of a change of date for the April 2012 Board Meeting.
The next Board Meeting will be held in our normal place (208 Marsh St.) at the Sanitary District offices, on April 12th, 2012. The meeting will start promptly at 6:30PM, as usual.

Staffing Changes Update
The Gardiner Sanitary District saw some personnel changes in January 2012. The part-time position of ‘Waste Water Technician’ is now vacant.
On the evening of January 2, 2012, Susanna Nordhoff resigned via voice message prior to the Board’s scheduled meeting to discuss the completion of her probationary period.
The Board accepted her resignation.
Following her resignation, Ms. Nordhoff chose to return the keys, and end all work on the following day January 3, 2012.
We have hired a trainee, Mike Girard, to work 2 hours a day to check flow meters.
The Board will be reviewing applications to fill the position of ‘Waste Water Technician’.

Procedures for Adopting Ordinance
1. ORS 198.540
- Publish in Agenda
- Publish in newspaper not more than 10 days nor less than 4 days before the meeting
2. ORS 198.550
- Ordinance shall be read during Regular meetings of the Board on two different days at least 6 days apart.
- The reading of an ordinance shall be full and distinct unless at the meeting: (a) a copy of the ordinance is available for each person who desires a copy (b) the board directs the reading be by title only
- The affirmative vote of a majority of the Board is required to adopt an ordinance after the second reading
3. ORS 198.560
- Within 7 days after adoption the ordinance shall be (1) signed by the presiding office
- Attested by the recording secretary at the session which the ordinance is adopted
- Filed in the records of the District
- A certified copy of the ordinance shall be filed with county clerk
4. ORS.198.570
- Ordinance shall take effect on the 30th day after it is adopted
